Taiwan has won the 2014 Junior League World Series championship in Michigan, beating a Texas US baseball team 9 to 1.
The series was held from Aug. 9 to Aug. 15. It brought together eight teams from Taiwan, which won first place in the International Poll with five wins and no losses.
Taiwan had 15 hits during the final on Saturday and led Texas 6 to 1 after five innings, later adding another three runs.
This was Taiwan’s second championship title in a row and 20th since 1972 at the Junior League World Series.
