The principal deputy minister of the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) has resigned and would be replaced by anther deputy minister.
The MAC is Taiwan’s top China-policy maker. According to a Cabinet announcement on Saturday, the MAC’s principal deputy minister, Chang Hsien-yao, asked to resign for family reasons. The Cabinet statement said Chang would be replaced by Lin Chu-chia.
