Taiwanese tennis star Lu Yen-hsun has been knocked out of competition at the Cincinnati Masters tournament after losing a match against Italian Fabio Fognini.
Lu had advanced to the third round of competition after an upset victory against the Czech player Tomas Berdych on Wednesday. However, despite a strong start with a score of 6 to 3 in the first round, Lu quickly lost ground against Italian competitor Fabio Fognini in his next match, which took place Thursday. Lu lost both the second and third rounds, both 3 to 6.
