Asian equities followed their US peers lower on Wednesday on worries that tensions between Russia and Ukraine could escalate into a military conflict. But Taiwan shares closed up 2.53 points, or 0.02%, at 9,143.97 Wednesday on turnover of NT$105.53 billion (US$3.52 billion).
