Taiwan ranks 16th in the world for the number of plastic surgeons. That’s the word from the survey released by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) on Thursday.
The country where the most people went under the knife last year was the US, followed by Brazil, Mexico, Germany and Spain.
The US has 6133 plastic surgeons, the most in the world. Next on the list were Brazil, China, Japan, India, South Korea, Russia, Mexico, Turkey and Germany. Taiwan was 16th in the world with 600 plastic surgeons.
Last year, there were 23 million cases of cosmetic surgery performed around the world.
