Experts are expected to complete their analysis of the flight data from TransAsia Airways flight 222 in the next three days. That’s the word from the director of the Aviation Safety Council, Wang Hsing-chung on Friday.
The plane’s black boxes were sent to the Aviation Safety Council laboratory on Thursday night. Though the boxes suffered damage in the crash, the data has remained intact. Wang said that investigators will check the data for completeness and accuracy before beginning analysis.
Wang said that the plane carried two black boxes, a cockpit voice recorder and a flight data recorder. He said investigators will need to synchronize data from the two black boxes.
Meanwhile, what remains of the aircraft was moved to a nearby air force base on Friday. Investigators have also expanded the area where they are searching for wreckage after debris from the plane was found in a forest near the crash site.
