A photo issued by the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) on Sunday shows a postcard addressed to a resident in Taiwan found in the wreckage of the Malaysia Airlines aircraft shot down in Ukraine last Thursday.

The postcard, sent from the RIJKS Museum in Amsterdam July 10, was addressed to a Mr. Tsai in Taoyuan County, northern Taiwan, in which the sender wrote in Chinese about his or her trip to the Netherlands.

The postcard was discovered in piles of mail retrieved from the wreckage of MH17. The plane was shot down by a missile in northern Ukraine while flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. All 298 aboard were killed.

Taiwan police located Tsai and informed him of the postcard Sunday. He told police that it was sent by his girlfriend who was on a trip to Europe. She fortunately was not a passenger on the plane. The plane was carrying the postcard which she wrote the second day after arriving in the Netherlands.
