Taiwan's Hsieh Su-wei and her Chinese partner Peng Shuai have survived a stiff challenge from an unseeded duo from Spain to advance to the finals of the women’s doubles at the French Open.
On Friday the top seeds Hsieh and Peng defeated Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 in a battle that came down to which team could hold serve in the final two sets.
With the victory, the defending Wimbledon champions have already achieved their best showing at the French Open. They will take on the second-seeded Italian duo Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci on Sunday.
