The Taiwan Pavilion has opened at the 2014 Venice Biennale. That’s the word from the Taipei Representative Office in Italy on Thursday.
Taiwan-born architect Jimenez Lai designed the pavilion. The installation consists of nine small houses, each of which showcases different models of the Taiwanese lifestyle.
Taiwan has participated in the Venice Biennale since 2000, and selects its representatives through open calls to creative local architectural teams and curators. The Taiwanese Pavilion is presented by the Ministry of Culture and organized by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts
