Premier Jiang Yi-huah is scheduled to leave for El Salvador to attend the inauguration of President Salvador Sánchez Cerén.
The premier’s delegation will leave on May 30. It will be Jiang’s first overseas trip since he became premier last year. He will stop over in Los Angeles.
On Friday, Deputy Foreign Minister Simon Ko said in addition to attending the inauguration, the premier will also meet with top officials.
“While in El Salvador, Premier Jiang and his wife will meet with President Sánchez and Vice President Ortiz and First Lady Vanda Pignato," said Ko. "They will discuss bilateral cooperation.”
Jiang is scheduled to return on June 4.
