Taiwan’s embassy in Belize and the Belize National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) have joined together to foster young artistic talent in Belize. Works by young Belizean artists were entered in international competitions.
Pieces that won awards were then printed on postcards, which have been put on sale at Belize’s top tourist attractions. Proceeds from sales have been put into a scholarship fund for the artists.
The postcards were put on display at an event held on Wednesday, local time. Taiwan’s ambassador to Belize, Benjamin Ho and Belize’s Minister of Education, Youth and Sport were both in attendance.
