Swaziland pledges to support Taiwan in international arena

Swaziland King Mswati III says that Swaziland pledges to strongly support Taiwan in the international arena. Mswati III was speaking on his 15th visit to Taiwan.

President Ma Ying-jeou said on Tuesday that since 1968, Taiwan and Swaziland have established close diplomatic relations.

“The Republic of China and the Kingdom of Swaziland have many cooperative projects," said Ma.

"We share our successful development experiences, while the Kingdom of Swaziland has spoken up for the Republic of China on many occasions in the international arena. On behalf of the government and the people, I want to express our sincere gratitude to Swaziland for the deep friendship.”

The Republic of China is Taiwan’s official name.

Meanwhile, Mswati III said that his country will continue to support Taiwan. During his trip, Mswati III will visit universities and biotech companies.
