One Taiwanese national is dead and three others are injured following a car accident in Australia. The foreign ministry says the accident took place in Kakadu National Park.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation says the accident occurred on Sunday. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, foreign ministry spokeswoman Anna Kao says that Taiwan’s representative office in Brisbane is working to contact the victims and their families and provide them with assistance.
Brisbane is around 3,000 km from the accident site. Kao said that because of the distance, Taiwan’s Brisbane office will ask overseas Taiwanese closer to the accident site to offer assistance as it prepares its response.
