On this day in 1968, during the Vietnam War, student protesters at Columbia University in New York City took over administration buildings and shut down the university.

On this day in 1985, Coca-Cola changed its formula and released New Coke. The response was overwhelmingly negative, and the original formula was back on the market in less than three months.

On this day in 1986, National Taiwan University Hospital separated a pair of 14-day-old Siamese twins, saving the life of one of the girls. The twins set a record for being the youngest to be separated.

And on this day in 2005, the first YouTube video was uploaded, titled "Me at the zoo".
