Taiwanese cyclist to challenge Paris-Roubaix

Cyclist Feng Chun-kai is set to become the first Taiwanese to ride in the Paris-Roubaix professional bicycle road race in northern France.

The race, which will be held on April 12, is one of cycling’s oldest races. The one-day race is famous for its rough terrain and cobblestones, and is one of the classic routes in the world of European cycling competitions.

The 26-year-old Feng said that it’s an honor to ride on one of the most celebrated routes in cycling history. Feng said on Friday that he is still trying to figure out how to get his balance on the cobblestones, as this is his first time riding on a cobblestone road.

Feng started his cycling career 12 years ago and has since claimed many national and international titles, including a gold medal at the 2013 East Asian Games in Tianjin, China.
