Taiwan wants to join Cyber Storm, the United States’ biennial cyber security exercise. That was the word from a New York Times report on Monday.
Vice Premier Simon Chang said Taiwan is often a target for China to try out its hacking skills. Taiwan has not been invited to the US cyber security exercises yet. But Chang said Taiwan hopes to be invited as it would like to work with the US in dealing with cyberattacks from China.
In 2013, Taiwan invited US officials to participate in Taiwan’s cyber security exercises.
