Deputy Secretary-General of Taiwan’s National Security Council Lin Fei-fan (林飛帆) expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people on behalf of the Taiwanese government while participating in the "Vyshyvanka Unites" festival organized by the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia on Sunday.

Lin says that both Taiwan and Ukraine stand on the frontlines of authoritarian aggression and that the Taiwanese people deeply empathize with the suffering endured by Ukrainians as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Lin says that, since 2022, the Taiwanese government and civil society have donated more than 700 tons of humanitarian aid and medical equipment to Ukraine. He adds that Taiwan will continue cooperating with like-minded Central and Eastern European countries’ joint effort to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.

Lin says that these concrete actions reflect the sincere concern and steadfast support of both the Taiwanese government and its people. He concluded his speech with the words “Slava Ukraini,” expressing hope for Ukraine’s swift victory and lasting peace.

Association chair Volodymyr Palamar, expressed his gratitude to Taiwan and its representative office in Latvia, emphasizing that Taiwan is a steadfast supporter of the Ukrainian community in Estonia.

Palamar says that these contributions reflect the Taiwanese people’s fraternity and deep friendship, as well as the shared commitment to freedom and democracy that unites Taiwan and Ukraine. He adds that, despite the geographical distance, both nations are closely connected by common values and a mutual resolve to defend sovereignty and territorial integrity against external threats.
