Premier Cho Jung-Tai (卓榮泰) visited Yilan on the third day of the Lunar New Year festivities, where he prayed and unscored the importance of cooperation and unity in the coming year.
President Lai Ching-te (賴清德), Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴), and Premier Cho have visited many places around Taiwan to spread blessings and welcome in the new year. At the President’s behest, Cho added several trips to Yilan, citing it as part of a “golden corridor” in Taiwan for its participation in both traditional and innovative fields of development and industry.
In addition to wishing the people of Yilan good luck in the new year, Cho also stopped by the Jhuangwei Butian Temple and the Lizejian Yong’an
Temple, where he spoke about the importance of trust and harmony. He said ensuring Taiwan’s continued favorable development requires not only hard work, but also the willingness to collaborate with others and a commitment to self-development.
Speaking again on the budget, the Premier reiterated that it isn’t just numbers on a page, but the means by which important policy is allowed to develop simultaneously. He pointed out that like footsteps where one foot cannot move faster than the other without slowing down the pace as a whole, policies such as the “Six Core Strategic Industries” must develop at the same pace. Cho vowed to work hard in the coming year, calling on the public to unite, embrace a spirit of collaboration, and continue to offer their support to the Lai administration in the year of the snake.
