A social media post from another visitor detailed the moment the sloth tumbled from the tree, landing on the man's head.
The Taipei Zoo confirmed that their staff immediately assessed the visitor’s condition and conducted a health check on the sloth, which was also unharmed. They say discussions exploring ways to prevent similar incidents in the future are ongoing.
Sloths are typically seen crawling leisurely along tree branches or relaxing in their shelters, often engaging in a game of hide-and-seek with visitors.
