Pingtung offers a sweet and spectacular Christmas celebration that transforms into a fairy-tale winter landscape.

The Pingtung Peace Church has unveiled Taiwan’s biggest gingerbread city, turning local landmarks into miniature sugar-dusted attractions for visitors. Last Saturday, the event transformed the church grounds into a magical Christmas wonderland, featuring 75 intricately designed gingerbread houses that replicate famous Pingtung locations like the Victorystar in Pingtung (VIP Zone) and Eluanbi Lighthouse.

Visitors were enchanted by the detailed miniature landscape, where warm yellow lights and delicate white paper "snowflakes" created a festive atmosphere. A small train circled the elaborate display, adding to the whimsical scene that drew crowds of all ages. Participants, from children to adults, worked as amateur architects, decorating the gingerbread structures with colorful candies and creative designs.

Pastor Huang Hsin-lung (黃興隆) of the Peace Church says that the event has been held for eight years and promotes creativity across all generations. Visitors were impressed by the unique display and warm atmosphere, bringing joy to the whole community. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience this magical and delightful Christmas event until December 15.
