Taiwan’s Military Police demonstrated impressive precision during their training, forming a V-shaped flying geese formation in light rain. The unit showcased its new Indian Challenger motorcycles, which marked a significant upgrade from its previous Royal Star models.
The new Challenger motorcycles feature enhanced horsepower, lighter weight, and improved maneuverability due to a shorter wheelbase and wider steering angle. Unit Sergeant Wang Xun (王勛) says that compared to the older models, these bikes are more agile and perform better during tactical maneuvers.
The motorcycles are specifically designed for urban warfare operations, allowing two-person teams to carry anti-armor rockets and shoulder-launched Stinger missiles. Major Wu Chien-hsing (吳建興) emphasizes that their primary mission includes battlefield reconnaissance and counter-airborne operations. As the only heavy motorcycle unit in Taiwan's military, the Military Police Command's Quick Response Company exemplifies the armed forces' commitment to national defense through advanced equipment and rigorous training.
