The Czech national baseball team’s visit to Taiwan was a delightful mix of cultural immersion and sporting spirit. At the historic Lungshan Temple, players celebrated after receiving favorable divination blocks, seeking blessings not for game victories but for romance from the temple's Matchmaker God. The team enthusiastically documented their temple visit, each player receiving blessed charm bags and specially designed baseball amulets featuring Czech inscriptions.
Their adventure in Taiwan began with an unexpected welcome from a typhoon, inspiring them to recreate playful photos reminiscent of scenes from classic movies. Head coach Pavel Chadim praised Taiwan’s beauty and hospitality.
Looking ahead to the 2026 World Baseball Classic, the Czech team, who secured their spot after finishing fourth in their group last time, expressed solidarity with Taiwan. Despite Taiwan's current world No. 2 ranking and two victories, they still need to qualify through playoffs. Chadim says that although it might seem unfair, he is confident in Taiwan's ability to advance.
Before heading to Japan for the WBSC Premier12 tournament, the Czech team has scheduled a friendly match with the Wei Chuan Dragons, making the most of their remaining time in Taiwan by exploring attractions and creating lasting memories.
