The Tourism Administration has reintroduced an 80% off deal for visitors to Hualien’s amusement parks as part of ongoing efforts to boost tourism in Eastern Taiwan. From now until November 30, tickets to Farglory Ocean Park and Yiyuan Resort will be available at this reduced price.
Farglory Ocean Park, located in the East Coast National Scenic Area, is the only large theme park in Eastern Taiwan that combines marine life, mechanical rides, and stage performances. Yiyuan Resort, on the other hand, is set in the East Longitudinal Valley National Scenic Area. It offers certified environmental education programs, serving as a natural classroom for families.
Tourism Administration Director-General Chou Yung-Hui (周永暉) said that Hualien was severely affected by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred last April 3. As part of the tourism recovery plan, accommodation and transportation subsidies are also being offered alongside the discounted amusement park tickets. For more information about the special deals offered, Chou recommends visiting the Hualien revitalization plan section on the Tourism Administration website.
