Marching in unison and holding the national flag high, the Ministry of National Defense Honor Guard enters the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall Square. With National Ten Day fast approaching, citizens can get a sneak peek while the honor guards practice hard for the big day.
The Ministry of National Defense joint Military Bands is composed of the separate Army, Navy and Air Force bands, who perform popular marches paired with a fast-paced music style. Matched with the well-practiced skill of the drill team, it’s a show of their dedication and commitment.
The second part of the performance features popular marches from here in Taiwan and overseas, such as the “Hand in Hand March,” “Hands Across the Sea March,” and the “Royal Australian Navy March.”
Another performance worth looking forward to is that of the Military Police Rapid Reaction Company, which will be showing off the recent upgrade of the 65 “Challenger” heavy motorcycles. Weaving between one another in a display of surprising agility, the motorists show off their skills in an exciting array of formations.
Taiwan’s armed forces are clearly ready to respond professionally to any challenge. With such exciting performances, Taiwan’s National day is sure to be a 10 out of 10.
