The 2024 Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo (TTXC) will take place in October in Kaohsiung themed “Future at Play”. The event will feature three major exhibitions and hundreds of activities focusing on cultural, technological, and international trends.
Cultural Minister Li Yuan (李遠) says that while Taiwan has gained global recognition for its technological prowess as the "Silicon Island of Asia," technology must also carry cultural significance to truly resonate with people. He says the Ministry is committed to fostering cultural innovation through Taiwan's strong tech capabilities, and stresses integrating culture with technology.
TTXC will feature over 70 exhibits and programs, showcasing advancements in AI, XR virtual reality, VTuber virtual idols, immersive entertainment, and more. The event will also include 300 industry forums, workshops, and international collaborations, gathering over 500 experts.
Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai (陳其邁) welcomed the expo’s return to the city again this year adding that the event will combine Taiwan’s technological “hard power” with its cultural “soft power”. The expo will take place at Kaohsiung’s Pier 2 Art Centre from October 12 to 27. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
