Michelin Taiwan unveiled its latest Bib Gourmand list on Tuesday, with 16 new additions, showcasing a total of 126 restaurants and street food stalls across the island.
The Bib Gourmand designation highlights restaurants offering excellent value for money, allowing diners to enjoy quality meals at reasonable prices. This year, 43 restaurants in Taipei, 27 in Taichung, 31 in Tainan, and 25 in Kaohsiung earned the accolade. Notably, more than half of the 16 new additions showcase Taiwanese cuisine and local small eats.
International Director of the MICHELIN Guide Gwendal Poullennec says that the Bib Gourmand recommendations provide the opportunity to explore authentic food heritage through affordable yet delicious experiences, especially in Taiwan where delicacies, street food, and small eats have always been a major part of the local lifestyle.
The new entries include such notable establishments as Sinchao Rice Shoppe, Huang Chi Lu Rou Fan, Yeh San Duck Thick Soup, Xiao Ping Kitchen, and Liang Chia Pig Knuckle.
