The Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy is hosting the SDGs Asia Exhibition from Thursday to Saturday. The Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that it will participate for the first time with a booth highlighting Taiwan's strengths in areas such as healthcare, humanitarian aid, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
The ministry says the booth will present Taiwan's efforts in joining the World Health Organization and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, providing aid to Ukraine and Turkey following natural disasters, attracting international NGOs to Taiwan, promoting female diplomacy, and facilitating the International Youth Ambassadors Exchange Program.
The Foreign Ministry will also hold an exhibition at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei from August 23 to 25 in collaboration with the Taiwan Alliance in International Development (Taiwan AID). The event will display the outcomes and impact of Taiwanese NGOs' international cooperation and development projects, aiming to raise public awareness and concern for the SDGs and to encourage people to become global citizens with a commitment to sustainability and humanitarianism.
