According to a recent Yes123 Job Bank survey, new hires with AI utilization skills will earn an average of 32% above their peers, with 18% of participating companies offering more than 50%. The results reported that nearly half of all businesses are considering artificial intelligence in some form and will be targeting people with relevant skills.

Yes123 spokesman Yang Tsung-pin (楊宗斌) said that, based on opinions from roughly 1,300 members and 1,000 companies, automation and AI have impacted both labor-intensive and capital-intensive jobs. He elaborated that this means both blue-collar and white-collar workers need to prepare for a future of human-machine collaboration, in which AI and people directly cooperate to achieve task goals.

Jobs will not be completely replaced by AI, though the survey reports that nearly 30% of current opportunities will disappear within the next decade. The survey indicates ticket sellers, customer service staff, production line operators, translators, journalists, and bank clerks are the most easily replaced.

Yang advised those in the job market that AI skills have gradually become prominent in the workplace. He said that if you cannot accept human-machine collaboration and cannot use AI software to improve your work efficiency, you may be eclipsed by other competing professionals.
