The Taiwanese Paris Olympic delegation uniforms will be revealed at this year's Taipei Fashion Week AW24, with the theme of “Cultural Olympics” inspired by summer sports events in the upcoming Paris Olympics.
The uniforms themselves are by the Taiwanese designer Justin Chou (周裕穎) and showcase Taiwan’s unique craftsmanship. The main promotional image for the event also features two Taiwanese athletes in another display of this year's theme marrying sports and clothing.
Culture Minister Shih Che (史哲) said that fashion is an important tool to express cultural characteristics. He elaborated that this year’s theme will both attempt to share culture through the medium of fashion at the Olympics as well as demonstrate Taiwan’s vibrant and diverse cultural spirit through the world of sports fashion.
This year’s AW24 show will run from April 25 to 29 and will feature works by six groups of designers influenced by the summer Olympic events. Select items from the shows will also become available to the public for purchase in the upcoming season.
