President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) hosted the recipients of the 25th National Golden Award for Architecture and the 20th National Brand Yushan Award at the Presidential Office on Tuesday. Tsai thanked the award winners for enhancing Taiwan’s competitiveness and expressed her hope that they would contribute to net-zero transformation and urban renewal.
In her address, President Tsai emphasized the global commitment to net-zero goals and urged collaboration with the government on energy conservation and carbon reduction. She says the government will strengthen cooperation with the private sector to promote urban renewal and the reconstruction of aging structures to improve safety.
This year's National Brand Yushan Award winners are in sectors including finance, biotechnology, manufacturing, and service industries. Tsai says this represents the diversity of Taiwanese brands. She also highlighted the CSBC Corporation, a first-time winner, for contributing to Taiwan’s national shipbuilding policy and bolstering national defense science and technology. Tsai says that the award-winning companies are important driving forces for Taiwan's progress and that the government will continue to promote industrial policies to back Taiwanese enterprises.
