A group of representatives to the United Nations (U.N.) from Taiwan’s diplomatic allies arrived on Monday. The representatives from Paraguay, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Marshall Islands, Belize, and Nauru, who are in Taiwan from Nov. 13 to 18, will meet with President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) and other senior officials. That’s according to a press release by the Foreign Ministry.

Members of the delegation include the Permanent Representative of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the U.N. Amb. Inga Rhonda King, Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to the U.N. Amatlain Elizabeth Kabua, Permanent Representative of Nauru to the U.N. Amb. Margo Deiye, Permanent Representative of Belize to the U.N. Amb. Carlos Fuller and his wife and Chargé d'Affaires of the Permanent Mission of Paraguay to the U.N. Amb. José Eduardo Pereira Sosa and his wife.

The ministry says the visiting delegation has extensive experience and is familiar with U.N. affairs. It says this trip will provide an opportunity for the group to learn more about Taiwan through exchanges while helping relevant ministries and agencies better understand the operations of the U.N. system.
