The 2nd Berlin Taiwan Conference kicks off next week, bringing together government officials and experts from Europe, Taiwan, and around the globe to discuss Taiwan’s upcoming presidential election.
The organizer of the event is European Parliament Member for Germany Reinhard Bütikofer, who is also the chair of the delegation for relations with China. The event will be held at Berlin’s European House, which serves as the European Parliament's office in Germany, from November 13 to 14.
Those speaking at the 2-day conference include journalist for The Economist Alice Su (蘇奕安), Taiwan Deputy Foreign Minister Roy Chun Lee (李淳), exiled Chinese activist Wu'er Kaixi (吾爾開希多萊特) and Vice President for Studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Evan Feigenbaum, among many others.
Last December, the 1st Berlin Taiwan Conference drew nearly 200 attendees. Once again, this year's event will be live-streamed on YouTube, allowing global audiences to tune in.
