Nauru President Russ Kun expressed support for Taiwan during his National Day visit. Kun led a delegation that attended National Day activities before departing on Thursday evening.
The Foreign Ministry pointed out that during his visit to Taiwan, Kun repeatedly reiterated his support for Taiwan's international participation and Taiwan’s contribution to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. When giving the opening speech at the recent Yushan Forum, he also affirmed Taiwan's key role and importance in science and technology, innovation, economy and trade, and regional security.
The President of the Pacific island country thanked the Taiwan government and the people for their enthusiasm. He said that he sincerely hopes Taiwan and Nauru will continue to expand bilateral cooperation and deepen exchanges and interactions in the future.
