The first batch of 48 medical and military vehicles sent to Ukraine was received on Thursday. A total of about 100 emergency response vehicles have been slated for donation by the Taiwan government and private sector donors.
Project planner Kateryna Muzlova said that most of the vehicles have been delivered to the front line from Kharkiv to Kherson. She detailed that the final recipients of the vehicle aid program are more than a dozen military units, city councils in frontline areas, and medical institutions in several regions of Ukraine.
In addition to this donation project, Taiwan will also be allocating US$5 million to a Lithuanian plan to repair schools destroyed by Russian troops in Borodyanka, northern Ukraine, and Irpin, Kiev Oblast.
