President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) thanked teachers for their hard work on Thursday morning. In Tsai’s Facebook post this Teachers’ Day, she also pointed to the government's ongoing efforts to improve the infrastructure and resources in schools across the country.
In her post, Tsai said that teachers play a very important role in society and inspire students' interest in learning different subjects. She also says during the past three years, teachers have used diverse teaching methods to ensure that learning wasn't disrupted by the pandemic, allowing students to continue progressing.
Tsai says the government continues to promote the initiative of providing every student with a tablet so that teachers can be innovative in their teaching. She added that over the past few years, the government has worked hard to provide air-conditioning in primary and secondary schools across the country so that teachers and students no longer sweat during class in the hot summer. She says the government will continue to support teachers and create a better educational environment for Taiwan’s children.
