The foreign ministry released the short film Global Peace with Taiwan ahead of the 78th United Nations General Assembly opening in New York on Tuesday.
The foreign ministry says the short film highlights Taiwan’s vibrant democracy and significant role in chip production and industrial supply chains. As well as the Taiwan Strait's global significance as a freight hub, and Taiwan's dedication to upholding regional and global peace and stability. The film calls on the international community to unite with Taiwan in preserving world peace.
The ministry says that the video echoes the message of the recent article, Unite for Peace in the World and Taiwan’s Inclusion in the U.N. by Foreign Minister Joseph Wu (吳釗燮).
Last week, the ministry released its first promotional video To Equality which outlined Taiwan's progress towards the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals and contribution towards global issues. The Chinese and English versions of both videos are available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Trending Taiwan YouTube channels as well as their official Facebook and Twitter.
