The Taiwan Tourism Bureau announced that they will be joining the upcoming Indonesian Kompas Travel Fair in September in a press release on Thursday. A 29-member delegation composed of tourism-related associations, travel agencies, hotel and souvenir companies will be at the Taiwan pavilion from September 1-3 to showcase their products.
Visitors will get the chance to drink classic Taiwanese bubble milk tea and take pictures. Photo backdrops featuring famous tourist spots like Taipei 101, Yehliu’s Queen's Head, Sun Moon Lake, and others will be on hand to give visitors a clearer image of the available attractions on the island country.
Director of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Kuala Lumpur Chou Shih-pi (周士弼) also promoted their incentive program “Taiwan the Lucky Land” where foreign independent travelers to Taiwan get the chance to win NT$5,000 (US$157) in a lucky draw. Foreign tour operators cooperating with local Taiwanese agencies will also be entitled to concessions ranging from NT$5000 (US$157) to NT$20,000 (US$628).
The 2023 Kompas Travel Fair (KTF) is organized by Indonesia's largest media group Kompas and will be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD) in Jakarta.
