The Taiwan Central Library set up a Taiwan Corner at the Seoul Metropolitan Library on Wednesday with a specially curated book collection that showcases Taiwan's local customs and publishing.
Librarian Tseng Shu-hsien (曾淑賢) hosted the opening ceremony with Section Director Seon Myeong-hwa on Wednesday. In her speech, Tseng said that she hopes to provide high-quality publications that introduce the country’s history, humanities, society, and literature to the Korean public through the Taiwan Corner. Tseng added that since Taiwan opened its borders after the pandemic, South Korean visitors have topped the list of Taiwan’s most frequent tourists.
The books presented include children's storybooks, 3D books, and maps of Taiwan, as well as books covering a wide range of Taiwan topics, such as history, customs, arts, and traditions.
