Taiwan will continue to strengthen cooperation with the Kingdom of Eswatini and other international partners for mutual prosperity. That came from President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) when she received Eswatini Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku on Tuesday at the Presidential Office. Masuku and his delegation arrived in Taiwan on Monday.
In her remarks, Tsai says the Kingdom of Eswatini is Taiwan’s important diplomatic ally. She says the two have shared multiple economic and trade dialogues in recent years. She adds that they signed a cooperation agreement in March to collaborate closer on economic and trade, agriculture, education, and medicine.
Masuku says Taiwan can contribute a lot to the world. He says Eswatini will continue to advocate for Taiwan’s participation in international organizations, global forums, and the United Nations system.
Masuku also thanked Taiwan for supporting Eswatini in different capacities, which include building hospitals, implementing rural electrification projects, and providing food assistance to vulnerable regions.
