President Tsai commends young people’s contributions to Taiwan
President Tsai congratulates Taiwan's top ten outstanding youth for their achievements.

President Tsai Ing-wen says young people’s contributions to society have changed Taiwan for the better. Tsai met with award recipients chosen as the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Taiwan at the Presidential Office on Friday.

The annual award recognizes young people under the age of 40 who exhibit “entrepreneurial spirit and ethical leadership”. Tsai congratulated the award recipients and described them as great role models for others.

This year’s group of talent has made contributions in different fields of expertise. It includes gold medalists Lee Yang and Wang Chi-lin, who made history by winning the badminton men’s doubles at the Tokyo Olympics, as well as Golden Bell Award winner Aaron Yan.

The Junior Chamber International Taiwan organizes the award ceremony, which was held in Kaohsiung on October 8. The ceremony celebrated other winners for their accomplishments in the fields of social services, education, disaster relief, environmental protection, and human rights.
