A Taiwanese association to promote international economic cooperation announced the launch of a new Taiwan-Lithuania Business Club on Wednesday. The club will be officially launched on Thursday with representatives from the two nations set to attend an opening ceremony in Taipei.
The new initiative will provide a unique platform to strengthen economic ties and build a community between businesses in Lithuania and Taiwan. It will focus on agriculture, food, technology, finance, biomedicine, and other industries and sectors.
The business club is part of a growing number of exchanges between Lithuania and Taiwan. Legislative delegations from both countries have increased visits to the other over the past year. That comes as Taiwan opened a representative office in Lithuania last year. The Baltic state also opened its first trade representative office in Taipei on Monday.
