The tourism bureau on Wednesday launched a new tour package in Taiwan’s stunning Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area. The new package includes activities in the mountains of northern Taiwan. It is part of the government's new subsidy scheme for the tourism industry launched in July.
The unique tour includes NT$600 in subsidies per person to soak up the area’s atmosphere with delicious food, rich history, and distinctive architecture. The subsidy will be distributed to 2000 individuals who participate in one, two, or three day tours.
The Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area is one of Taiwan’s main forested areas with stunning natural diversity. Participants in the scheme will be able to choose from different activities, including experiencing Taiwan’s Indigenous and Hakka heritage.
Deputy Tourism Minister Lin Hsin-jen says the new tour is unique because it’s a project that integrates different regional authorities in northern and central Taiwan.
