Premier Mao Chi-kuo says the government must look at ways to boost its online presence.
Speaking Wednesday, Mao said the government must come up with a white paper on how the government should deal with the development of the internet and social media websites in particular.
Cabinet spokesperson Sun Lih-chyun said the white paper would address how to build a bridge between government policy and the online world. The white paper will formulate guidelines for government agencies to follow as they build a bigger digital presence.
