Taiwan’s jobless rate in November stood at 3.89%, down 0.06 percentage points from the previous month.
The government statistics office said on Monday that the figure is also the lowest November unemployment rate in seven years.
More than 451,000 people were hired in November. The employment rates dipped from the previous month and from the previous year in two age brackets: 20- to 24-year-olds and 25-to-29-year-olds.
Meanwhile, the regular wage in October was NT$38,840 or about US$1,300, which is 2.30% higher than the previous year. The average wage from January to October was up 4.02% over the same period in the previous year. The increase was mostly because year-end bonuses and performance bonuses were factored in.
