A powerful cold front has arrived in Taiwan bringing rain and cold weather to the northern and northeastern parts of the main island.
The Central Weather Bureau says that overnight lows on Sunday night moving into Monday morning could reach as low 10 C (50 F).
Forecasters are recommending warm clothes for people in northern Taiwan and in the capital city of Taipei as we move into the work week. They say that central and southern Taiwan could also see a big dip in temperatures on Monday.
Meteorologists are also warning that the cold front could bring gusting winds to coastal areas and outlying islands. They say that people engaging activities in or near the ocean should take extra precautions.
