A Taiwanese fishing boat is thought to have been hijacked by Indonesian fishermen.
The boat “Fufa 12” left Port Louis, Mauritius on March 21. But the boat’s owner, who is not on the boat, lost contact with the vessel three days later.
The foreign ministry has already sought help from Mauritius and has asked Malaysia and Indonesia to dispatch ships to the surrounding waters to help search for the missing boat.
The owner of the boat says he has tried to contact the boat via satellite phones, with no success. He says the boats he sent to search for the missing vessel have also had no luck in contacting the missing boat.
