Premier Jiang Yi-huah has called on government agencies to publicize information about the controversial trade in services agreement with Mainland China. Jiang was addressing a Cabinet meeting on Thursday.
Jiang said that the Cabinet and economics ministry will review existing material on the trade pact and look at ways to make it easier for the public to understand. Jiang also said that the economics ministry will reorganize their website to make information on the pact easier to find and download.
Speaking on Thursday, Cabinet spokesman Sun Lih-chyun said that his office will be examining the design of the economics ministry’s website. He also said that his office will look at how suitable the information presented on the website is for ordinary people. He said his office will also examine how easy it is for people to download information about the pact from the ministry’s website.
