Shares in Taiwan staged a technical rebound Wednesday. Buying focused on the bellwether electronics sector in the wake of a strong showing made by high-tech stocks in US markets overnight.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed up 94.19 points, or 1.08 percent, at 8,748.83.
