Chthonic is called the "Black Sabbath of Asia." The heavy metal band has stated that their goal is to build awareness of Taiwanese myths and historical tragedies through their music.
Freddy Lim, the band's main vocalist, was a Legislator for eight years, and served as Amnesty International Taiwan chairperson.
