Today’s guest on Uncovered is an award-winning cinematographer who has shot more than 60 short films, several feature films, and documentaries in Taiwan. Michael Geier has done cinematography for numerous television channels including National Geographic, BBC, CBC, and Discovery Channel, and he has also worked on several government and corporate film projects including for Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture. One of the most recent projects he was involved in was the documentary Invisible Nation which had access to those in the highest ranks of the political sphere in Taiwan, namely President Tsai Ing–wen. In today’s episode, Michael discusses his career as a cinematographer, including his favorite project, and new perspectives he got from frontline access to high-ranking politicians in Taiwan.
